Girls in Science--St. Timothy's has long supported the Girls in Science program through NC State. The program offers engineering activities, summer camps and other career-building opportunities. Applications are in the Fall.
Youth Science Programs--This page links to several opportunities offered by the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. Make sure to scroll all the way down the page to get the full offering! Summer Enrichment Programs--these are offered through UNC Wilmington. There are day camps and overnight camps having to do with marine ecology and biology. Applications are usually online in November. Duke Marine Biology Lab--Duke Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC hosts a week-long overnight camp for MS students.Application deadline is in early Spring. AstroCamp--this is an astronomy-focused camp that has options of 3 and 5 day overnight camps. |
Science is fun. Science is curiosity. We all have natural curiosity. Science is a process of investigating. It's posing questions and coming up with a method. It's delving in. Look here for information about science camps, new apps, and other science-related opportunities. I love it when our school community can be "citizen scientists"!
