I am available in the morning by appointment only and Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 3:05 - 3:30pm, on a drop-in basis. Please encourage your child to email me directly to give me an idea about which they are having trouble. This isn't necessary, but it does afford me an opportunity to be better prepared to meet their needs. Mt. Elbert On June 25, 2016, my son, Ben, and I climbed Mt. Elbert, the tallest mountain in the Rockies at 14,439 feet.

Growing up a Navy brat, I became accustomed to moving a lot. Raleigh has been my home since 1997, the longest I've ever lived in one place.
I graduated with an Animal Science degree from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and received my Masters in M.S. Science Education from N.C. State. My background has shaped the way I teach in that I hate to be bored. I like my classes to be interactive, fun, and challenging. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to incorporate current events into the classroom and make our time together more meaningful. Archaeoastronomy. In June of 2015, I visited Ireland and was able to visit New Grange, an ancient burial site near Dublin. This site predates the pyramids by 1,000 years!
